11 COSAR members responded to an injured motorcyclist in the Glenrosa area of Kelowna. The motorcyclist was located, transported to the road where he was met by ambulance and then transferred to the hospital via BCAS helicopter.
6 COSAR members responded to locate a motorcyclist who ran out of fuel in the Kelowna Mountains just north of Highway 33. The SAR team was stood down when the subjects friend arranged fuel to get him out.
13 members from Central Okanagan and Vernon SAR responded with Kelowna Marine Rescue to assist with a possible drowning on Okanagan Lake. Subject was located by the RCMP helicopter, recovered and turned over to the Corner.
10 COSAR members responded along withKelowna Fire to rescue an injured hiker who hadsustained an injury hiking down a very steep,unstable embankment near Fintry Landing. SARwas stood down when BCAS was able to walk thesubject out.
10 COSAR members responded to search for amale and female who were reported missing afterthey did not return from a late night ATV ride in theOyama Lake Road area of Lake Country. Thesubjects were located deceased and were turnedover to the Coroner.
14 Central Okanagan SAR members and 3 Kelowna and 6 Peachland Marine Rescuemembers responded following a report of an overturneddingy/raft on Okanagan Lake. SAR were stooddown. The raft turned out to be a ski tube that flewoff a boat that did not turn around to pick it up.
