6 COSAR members, 3 Amateur Radio Operators and 11 PEP Air members responded to a call to locate two snowboarders who ventured out-of-bounds at Big White Ski Resort. Evening search operations were suspended due to the considerable avalanche risk and resumed at first light. The pair were located in good health by Helicopter, and escorted out of the area by COSAR members on snowmobile. The subjects were assessed by BCAS and were
released to their families.
