3 Central Okanagan SAR members responded to search for a
missing female near the Loon Lake exit off Hwy 97
C between Merritt and Kelowna. Subject was
located mildly hypothermic by SAR and transferred
to BCAS.

8 Central Okanagan SAR, assisted by 8 Kelowna
901014 Fire High Angle Rescue members, were tasked to
rescue an injured mountain biker or hiker that had
fallen over a very steep embankment in the Powers
Creek area of West Kelowna. The subject suffered
multiple injuries and was brought up the bank and
transferred to BCAS for transport to hospital

5 members of COSAR were mustered to rescue 2 stranded snowmobilers in the Greystokes area of Kelowna. SAR was stood down by the RCMP after they had received reports that the subjects had been safely assisted out of the back country area by other snowmobilers.

6 Central Okanagan SAR members, 4 snowmobile
club members and 4 amateur radio volunteers
searched for two overdue snowmobilers in the Big
White area. The subjects were located and picked
up by a snowmobiler from a snowmobile rental outfit
from Big White. Their snowmobiles had become
disabled and they were found as they were walking
out.

28 Central Okanagan, Vernon and Penticton SAR
members and Amateur Radio searched the Chute
Lake Road area of South Kelowna for the occupant
of a vehicle that had been involved in a motor
vehicle incident. An RCMP Dog Handler and Air 3
also assisted in searching. The subject was located
by a local resident in their yard on 25 Dec suffering
with hypothermia. He was transported to hospital by
BCAS and SAR was stood down.

6 Central Okanagan Regional District SAR
members responded to locate 2 missing
snowmobilers in the Greystokes area near Kelowna.
SAR was stood down when the 2 people walked out
of the area on their own, safe and sound.

8 CORD SAR members were stood down by RCMP
while coordinating efforts to search for 3 missing
males in the Black Mountain area. The three
subjects arrived home safely after going missing
during a rally drive north of town.

9 PEP Air and Central Okanagan SAR members responded to locate an ELT signal detected in the Oyama Lake area near Kelowna.

6 Central Okanagan SAR members responded to
assist BCAS with an injured biker off the Bear Lake
Main. They were stood down on arrival as the
individual had been rescued by BCAS and brought
out.

8 Kelowna SAR responded to a request from BCAS
and Kelowna Fire to assist an injured mountain
biker. The subject was transported out of the area to
BCAS.
