We appreciate your support and will publish your donation in a press release and provide recognition of any equipment purchased.
Large donations of cash or equipment qualify for special acknowledgement such as a plaque, signed picture, or space on our sponsorship banner or our vehicle.

Donations are eligible for a Charitable Donation Tax Receipt for the fair market value of the item
Currently COSAR has many needs. We are looking for funding to help with the purchase of all of the following items.
- New Command Post - This is a self-contained motor vehicle equipped with maps, computers, radios, and everything else needed by Search Management. Estimated cost $200,000.
- 4 All Terrain Vehicles capable of decreasing response time, and increasing our ability to evacuate injured persons from remote locates. Estimated cost $40,000.
- Updated Digital Maps for Search Teams - These maps allow Search Management to create customized maps for search teams with integrated Global Positioning System (GPS) data to enhance the ability of the Search Teams to perform their tasks. Estimated cost $150.
- New Snowmobiles - Older machines need replacing so that our winter response capabilities. Estimated cost $50,000.
- Trailers - For transporting snowmobiles, boats, ATV's and other equipment. Ongoing costs.
- Radios - New radios are required to increase communication abilities in the field. Ongoing Costs.
- Computers - State of the art computers are needed to facilitate Search Planning and team monitoring in the field. Estimated cost $15,000.
- Generators - Needed to power the Command Post, lights, radios, and other electronics. Ongoing costs.
- Digital Cameras - Needed for documentation of footprints, evidence, and other 'clues' as well as the creation of ID cards for our members. Estimated Cost $500.
- Infrared Camera - Allows search teams to detect people in many different situations that would take many man hours to do manually. Estimated Cost $10,000.
- Shop Tools - We are always in need of tools and supplies to keep our vehicles and equipment in top operating condition. - Ongoing Costs.
- Canoes and Kayaks - Useful in the operation of our underwater camera.
We are also looking for assistance with the funding of the following:
- Hug-A-Tree and Survive Program.
- Ongoing High Level Training.
- Repairs and general maintenance of all equipment.
- Purchase of new First Aid Supplies.
- Advanced Training for Members.
