Busy Day for COSAR

March 2 was Search and Rescue Volunteer Memorial Day and it was a busy one for COSAR.

We got a call at 2 a.m. to help RCMP search for a missing senior, and then at 4 p.m. we were placed on standby as part of a team of emergency responders activated for a potential incident at YLY. Three hours later, 22 hearty souls took part in a fundraiser at PACE Spin Studio in support of Wounded Warriors Canada.

We had raised $1,688 of a $2000 goal. There’s still time to help push us over the top! Donate here: https://woundedwarriorscanada.akaraisin.com/ui/woundedwarriors/p/cosar

The proceeds raised from this event will be used to ensure Wounded Warriors can continue to provide their life-changing and family-saving mental health programs for our ill and injured veterans, first responders and their families.

Special thanks to PACE Spin Studio for donating studio time, our friends and family for donating money and the Wounded Warriors for their service.
