The past 72 hours have been busy
The past 72 hours have been busy for the Central Okanagan Search and Rescue volunteers.
Extraction on Sunday Evening
Sunday evening COSAR received a request from the Vernon RCMP to assist in locating and extracting two people that were stranded on Oyama Lake Forest Service Rd.
Saturday Night
Saturday night was a busy night for COSAR. It started with a mutual aid call to assist a neighbouring Search and Rescue team.
Six UTV Riders Rescued
Last evening, COSAR was called to rescue six UTV riders in the hills above Peachland.
Third Rescue in Three Nights
Last night, COSAR was called out for their third rescue in three nights.
Lost Geologist near Chute Lake
Right at suppertime on Valentine’s Day, COSAR volunteers were dispatched to assist the RCMP in locating a lost, cold and wet amateur geologist near Chute Lake.
