Busy Week for COSAR
Last night Central Okanagan Search and Rescue was called out twice within 90 minutes.
Our first call came in from the Kelowna RCMP at 8:45 p.m. to help search for an elderly female with dementia.

COSAR Reaches 100 Tasks in 2021
It’s been quite a year for COSAR! We just hit 100 callouts for 2021, a record for our team. We are the oldest SAR group in British Columbia, operating since 1954. As you may know, we rely heavily on our amazing, highly dedicated volunteers and financial support from the community.

COSAR Assists RCMP: Accident on Glenmore Road
Late Wednesday night, Lake Country RCMP called Central Okanagan Search and Rescue to help locate a male that had walked away from a traffic accident.
The male was driving north on Glenmore Road when he lost control and ended up flipping the vehicle into an orchard.

Couple Missing at Postill Lake Sunday Morning: Found!
Sunday morning COSAR was called to look for a couple in a side-by-side UTV who went missing after a group ride.
They were part of a fundraising group of off road enthusiasts who went out Saturday and then became separated from the main group.
