On December 16th at approximately 11:15 a.m., COSAR was called to the Smith Creek area to assist an injured mountain biker. The patient was transferred to BC EHS at 12:30 p.m.
This was COSAR’s 100th task of the year. We remind outdoor enthusiasts that while SAR services are free, you should be prepared to wait. SAR personnel are volunteers with jobs and families, and response times can take hours. Always carry warm clothing and remain in one location.
