Injured Dirt Bike Rider at Bear Creek
Saturday afternoon COSAR was called out by BCEHS to assist in locating and evacuating an injured dirt bike rider from the trails above Bear Creek Main FSR. The rider was riding down a trail when he struck an object and flipped over his bike, landing on his back. Suspecting a back injury, his friends called for help and BCEHS and COSAR was dispatched. COSAR responded with 12 members and their medical and UTV teams. They reached the male, stabilized him and brought him out to a waiting ambulance. The male was transported to KGH with undetermined injuries.
