Christmas Eve Callout

On Christmas Eve, COSAR was called out to assist the Kelowna RCMP in searching for and locating an elderly female with a mental health issue in the North Glenmore area. The female had left her residence and was lightly dressed for the conditions outside. COSAR responded will 11 members including “Chase” our search dog. Within 30 minutes one of search teams located the female and stayed with her until the RCMP arrived. She was checked out to make sure there was no physical injures then she left with the RCMP. Search Manager Duane Tresnich said this was a “text book” urban search and he was glad that the team was able to locate her so fast. It was a great way to start Christmas Day.

This was COSAR 104th task of the year.
